According to the latest KIDS COUNT data, Monroe County has 65.7% of children enrolled in the Georgia Pre-K program and 50.1% of third graders achieving Proficient Learner or above on the Milestones ELA assessment compared to Georgia’s average of 42%.
92.1% of our students graduate from high school on time compared to Georgia’s average of 83.8%—but 16.2% of teens ages 16-19 are not in school and not working, compared to Georgia’s average of 7.9%.
